Bright Lights, Big City: The KandyMobile Takes Manhattan!
Last week in NYC, over a hundred entrepreneurs, developers, Fortune 500 company CIOs, artists, technologists and innovators walked the "pink carpet" and "tunnel of pink" to enter the future that is being created by the Kandy.io ecosystem.
Once inside the iconic Lightbox space, guests were able to experience the brave new world of embedded communications made possible by the Kandy.io platform-as-a-service, and according to their reactions, "saw the light."
Outside, the KandyMobile, fresh from a stop with Tata Communications in New Jersey the day before, opened its doors and invited people to hang out with Kandy's visionary thinkers, enjoying solutions co-created by start-ups to SAP, from massive systems integration companies like TechMahindra, to service providers like Masergy.
Here are just a few of the incredibly cool applications that were demonstrated live last week:
T+Ink: in concert with Vizicom, provided a lifelike demo of the retail "big box" store of the future, connected to an "expert" able to help consumers select exactly the right product through an instant and exciting real-time interaction - right in the store.
MBody360: this start-up company shared a cool animation created by Clay Campbell, showing how wellness "coaches" can interact with their clients with a single "touch" using Kandy's WebRTC as a service.
MindMe: the Telepsych Alliance team was there showing how individuals who are depressed and even suicidal can interact with an application that helps gauge their feelings, choose content including music or videos that they've selected with their therapist to help elevate their mood, and then connect live with a professional if they are at risk and need the "human touch."
Clover Professional Network: the "CPN" team worked the room, knowing that some of the brightest minds working in technology were there and perfect candidates for joining this super high level, invitation only, interactive network.
Toy Genius / Vizicom: one of the most popular Kandy-powered applications was made available in real-time as one of the Toy Genius retail "Toy Techs" interacted with guests and helped them choose the right toy for their kids, nephews and nieces.
This week, the KandyMobile is motoring to the great city of Chicago, where attendees at IIT Real-Time Conference & Expo will be able to enjoy all the applications being created on a weekly and nearly daily basis as Kandy continues its rapid climb, having already reached more than 15 million end-users since it was launched a year ago.
We thank all our ecosystem partners and the incredible cities from San Francisco to Denver, from New York to Boston, to Chicago and soon Austin for welcoming us as we roll into the future - together.
